‘We make a difference’ - if you have the same philosophy, this may be the job for you.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team at Parkside as a Teacher of Maths. We require an enthusiastic, innovative, and committed teacher with high expectations of students and themselves. The successful candidate will be capable of inspiring students of all abilities through their passion for the subject, delivering maths at KS3 and KS4 and who is keen to create maths lessons that are exciting and engaging to encourage all students to achieve their best.

You will be joining a committed team in a school with clear plans and an unwavering drive to further move the quality of teaching, learning and education forward. You will be well supported by the team, Subject Team leads and Senior Leadership Team. Wellspring Academy Trust and Parkside School believe in investing in our staff. If you are driven to ensure the highest possible standards of teaching and learning, progress and achievement, then we warmly invite you to apply and join our convivial team.

Our students are enthusiastic and enjoy interactive lessons from passionate teachers. They respond well to strong trusting relationships with staff. Parkside has a renewed focus on student development, both academically and in personal growth. This includes an approach to pastoral care through small group Coaching circles, introduced in September 2024, which include a mix of all year groups and which places a strong emphasis on building a sense of community, belonging and respect and understanding.

This would be a fantastic time to join the school, Trust and the Maths faculty. Our vision for Parkside School is that we should visibly and substantively impact the community we are embedded within. This impact should be important, meaningful and considerable. This means young people from Parkside should develop into well-rounded young people who know how to keep themselves safe. We want students to have a personal and specific hope for the future which they can articulate, believe in and share with others; students who can empathise, critique, protect, love, inspire, make, design, explore and understand; students who are willing to try things they have never done before, do things they don’t want to do and be willing to reinvent themselves to become the best that they can be.

As an employee of Wellspring Academy Trust, you will benefit from a range of employee perks which include Staff Offers and Discounts, a free will writing service, Community First Credit Union, Cycle to Work schemes and People Celebration Schemes.

We encourage any applicant to come and visit the school or to book an informal phone conversation about this role. To arrange a suitable time, please contact Naz Ali via email on nazeefah.ali@parksideschool.net.
