About this Role

Serenity School Maidstone is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary Therapy Team, supporting children and young people with complex learning needs and EHCPs.

About the Role

You will deliver person-centred occupational therapy, carrying out assessments, delivering interventions, and supporting students’ participation in learning and everyday activities. The role includes:

  • Providing clinical assessment and intervention

  • Supporting teaching staff with strategies and equipment use

  • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reports

  • Advising on specialist equipment and manual handling

  • Working collaboratively across the school, families and external professionals

  • Offering supervision and guidance to junior therapy staff

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Degree/Graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy

  • Is HCPC registered

  • Has experience supporting children with severe or complex needs

  • Communicates well and works confidently as part of an MDT

  • Can manage a varied caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions

  • Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and improving student independence
