About this Role

The Abbey School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teacher of MFL to join the Languages Department, to start from 27th August 2026.

The successful candidate will inspire students, delivering engaging lessons that implement a passion for French and Spanish. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional who values high standards, strong relationships, and innovative teaching within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

This is a part time, permanent role, paid on the STPC Main/Upper Pay Range, dependant on experience.

The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £3,000 which is split into the following payments - £1,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £1,500 to be paid upon one year service. 

This post would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development.

The working pattern will consist of 19.5 hours per week - 0.6 FTE. Confirmation of the required days and times will be provided at interview level.
