The Abbey School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teacher of English to join the English Department, to start from January 2026.

We’re looking for an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. You’ll help students develop a passion for reading, writing, and communication while supporting them to achieve their full potential through creative and engaging lessons.

This is a full time, permanent role, paid on the STPC Teachers Unqualified/Main/Upper Pay Scale, dependent on experience. The school is also offering a recruitment incentive of £5,000 which is split into the following payments - £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service. 

This post would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development.
