About this Role

Serenity School Crawley is looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Office Admin Assistant to work as part of our supportive and collaborative team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and professional individual to join our administrative team. Working closely with the School Office Manager, the successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the school office, providing high-quality administrative support and contributing to a positive experience for pupils, families, visitors, and staff.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing administrative and clerical support to the School Office Manager and wider school team to ensure the efficient operation of the school office
• Maintaining accurate records, managing documentation, and supporting school systems in line with school procedures and data protection requirements
• Supporting the organisation of school events, meetings, trips, admissions processes, and pupil induction activities
• Managing office communications, including emails, telephone enquiries, post distribution, and welcoming visitors to the school
• Assisting with compliance, safeguarding administration, recruitment processes, staff training records, and the maintenance of school records


Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in an office or administrative environment, with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Is confident using Microsoft Office applications and administrative systems
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
• Is committed to safeguarding, confidentiality, equality, and providing outstanding support to the school community
