About this Role

This role involves:

  • ·        Leading a KS2 Class
  • ·        Leading on Teaching and Learning across the school; working with other senior leaders to ensure that this is delivered in all classes to consistently high standards across the school.
  • ·        Leading on curriculum development across the school; leading on appropriate initiatives/key subject areas and working with subject leaders to ensure there is a cohesive approach to the school curriculum. 
  • ·         Mentoring and supporting trainee teachers and Early Careers Teachers. 
  • ·         Proactively and professionally upholding the values and high expectations of the school and the Great Learners Trust.
  • ·         Being a member of the SLT and making a significant contribution to the strategic development and direction of the school. 

The successful candidate will be:

  • ·         A highly motivated, energetic and versatile individual who is passionate about making a difference.
  • ·       Driven and enthusiastic about ensuring all pupils achieve in line with age-related expectations, ensuring those working above are appropriately challenged and those with additional needs are appropriately supported and enabled. 
  • ·         An excellent classroom teacher with a secure understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • ·         Have a proven track record in raising standards and adding value as a classroom teacher and middle/senior leader.
  • ·         Committed to the journey of the school and work with all parents, staff, pupils, governors and GLT central team.
  • ·         Positive, adaptable and excited by the challenges of a rapidly improving school.
