Skyswood
Primary & Nursery School are looking to recruit a Learning Support
Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational
Needs. The role is to provide 10 hours 50 minutes support (mornings only, term time only) primarily
in maths and English for an identified child in lower Key Stage 2. The
successful candidate will work closely alongside the class teacher and although guided by specific targets, will be encouraged to adopt a flexible
approach in order to make learning as exciting and relevant as possible for
this child. The child is eager to learn and a
pleasure to work with but requires focused support in order to fully access
the curriculum and fulfil undoubted potential.
Our school promote a growth mindset approach and are
proud of the outstanding behaviours for learning and the positive community
that exists within our school. Our one-form entry school has a genuine 'family-feel'
and our quality of teaching and learning, support staff
and pupil voice are all key strengths within the school. We have a warm and welcoming ethos
throughout our school and value the positive parent/school relationships that
exist within our school community.
The successful candidate must have a
commitment to the safeguarding of all children and be confident to work both
independently and within the structure of a team.
Visits are welcomed and highly recommended for any candidates interested in the post.
Prospective
candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible as
the school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to
appoint an appropriate candidate.
