This is an
exciting opportunity to lead Food Technology at Kingsway Park High School and
play a key role in shaping an engaging, ambitious and practical curriculum that
supports students to develop confidence, creativity and lifelong skills.
The
successful candidate will provide leadership for Food Technology across Key
Stages 3 and 4, driving high-quality teaching, curriculum development and
strong outcomes whilst continuing to raise the profile of the subject across
the school community.
Food
Technology plays an important role in helping students develop practical
skills, nutritional understanding, independence and creativity. We are looking
for a passionate and forward-thinking leader who can inspire students through
engaging learning experiences whilst supporting colleagues and contributing
positively to the wider school community.
This role
would suit either an established middle leader or an ambitious practitioner
ready to take the next step in their leadership journey within a supportive and
collaborative school environment.
Key
Responsibilities
•
Lead
the strategic development and day-to-day operation of Food Technology
•
Drive
high-quality teaching, learning and outcomes across Key Stages 3 and 4
•
Develop
and oversee an ambitious, engaging and inclusive Food Technology curriculum
•
Monitor
student progress and use assessment information to inform curriculum
improvement and intervention
•
Lead,
support and develop colleagues within the department
•
Promote
creativity, independence and practical skills through high-quality learning
experiences
•
Support
enrichment opportunities, events and wider curriculum experiences linked to
Food Technology
•
Maintain
high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
•
Work
collaboratively with wider school teams, families and external partners where
appropriate
