About this Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our newly developed support base, Seacole — a nurturing and inclusive provision designed to help students with additional needs successfully engage with mainstream education.

Working across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will support students with a range of needs including SEMH and SEND, lead learning activities, deliver targeted interventions and provide high-quality classroom support. This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their career.

What We’re Looking For

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a degree in English or a related subject
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all learners
  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
  • Uses creative and inclusive teaching strategies to engage students of all abilities
  • Is reflective, ambitious and committed to continual professional development
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to department and whole-school improvement
