Working
closely with senior leaders and curriculum teams, you will lead the development
of a consistent, high-quality approach to literacy across the school. You will
model outstanding teaching and support colleagues through coaching,
professional development and collaborative working.
Key
responsibilities include:
- Leading
and implementing the whole-school literacy strategy
- Modelling
exemplary classroom practice and high-quality teaching
- Delivering
CPD and coaching to improve staff expertise
- Supporting
departments to embed disciplinary literacy
- Using
assessment and data to identify priorities and raise attainment
- Monitoring
impact through lesson observations, learning walks and work scrutiny
- Championing
reading for pleasure and a strong culture of literacy
- Supporting
disadvantaged and vulnerable learners to overcome barriers
