The Role
You will:
- Teach History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and
well-structured lessons
- Use assessment effectively to secure strong
progress and outcomes
- Contribute to curriculum development and innovative
practice within the department
- Play an active role in the wider life of the
school, including enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities
- Work collaboratively within a supportive and
well-resourced team
What We’re Looking For
- Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a degree in History
or a related subject
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high
expectations for all learners
- Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
- Uses creative and inclusive teaching strategies to
engage students of all abilities
- Is reflective, ambitious and committed to continual
professional development
- Works well as part of a team and contributes
positively to department and whole-school improvement
- Shares our values of Trust, Professionalism,
Integrity, Respect, Kindness and Effective Communication
