About this Role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead Seacole, Kingsway Park High School’s newly developed inclusive support base, and help shape ambitious personalised pathways for students experiencing barriers to mainstream education.

 Seacole is designed to provide relational, aspirational and highly personalised support for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and other complex barriers impacting engagement, attendance and learning. The successful candidate will play a central role in establishing the culture, systems and inclusive practice that underpin Seacole moving forward.

 The school is making a significant investment into the development of Seacole, including specialist teaching spaces, intervention rooms, sensory facilities and adaptive learning environments designed to support vulnerable students whilst maintaining strong connections to mainstream education.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and day-to-day operation of Seacole and personalised pathways
  • Develop inclusive approaches that support engagement, reintegration and belonging
  • Coordinate and quality assure external alternative provision placements where appropriate
  • Oversee adaptive curriculum pathways and personalised support strategies
  • Lead and support staff working within Seacole
  • Work collaboratively with families, external agencies and wider school teams
  • Promote high expectations, relational practice and inclusive support
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and student progress to evaluate impact

 What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Strong understanding of SEMH and inclusive practice
  • Experience supporting students experiencing barriers to mainstream education
  • Experience leading or coordinating personalised pathways, interventions or support systems
  • Excellent relational, communication and leadership skills
  • A passionate and values-driven leader committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
  • Someone who believes inclusion should never mean lowering ambition
