Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only
Salary: Grade C £18,846.77 - £19,638.55 Actual Salary (£26,017- £ £27,110 FTE)
Working Pattern: 31.25 hours a week, Monday to Friday 08:30am – 3:15pm (with a 30 minute unpaid break), 39 weeks a year
Reporting to: Headteacher

Milton Park Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Inclusion Assistant Teacher to join our wonderful Inclusion Centre, supporting children with social, communication and interaction needs. This role is available to start as soon as possible (date to be agreed with the successful candidate).

Our Inclusion Centre provides a nurturing, structured and engaging environment where children are supported through play, small‑group learning and targeted interventions to help them achieve their individual outcomes.

We are looking for someone who will:

Essential

  • Work proactively and independently while also being a strong team player
  • Show patience, understanding and resilience when supporting children with additional needs
  • Bring energy, creativity and enthusiasm to make learning engaging and fun
  • Have high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to helping them achieve what they may have thought impossible
  • Be calm, adaptable and solution‑focused in a busy, dynamic environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
  • Follow safeguarding, behaviour and SEND policies consistently and confidently
  • Show a genuine desire to help young people thrive emotionally, socially and academically

Desirable

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND
  • Experience in an educational or childcare setting
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Relevant training such as Safeguarding, First Aid or Autism awareness
