Teaching Assistant vacancy
to support Inclusion Centre from February 2024
Children are at the heart of everything we do here at Milton
Park Primary School. We are a lively and supportive mainstream primary school
in Portsmouth with a wonderful Inclusion Centre for children with social,
communication and interaction.
We are seeking to employ an engaging and motivating Teaching Assistant to work in our Inclusion centre who has the drive, creativity and
passion for teaching and learning to join our dedicated and welcoming inclusion
team. Experience of working with pupils with SEN is desirable but not
essential - what is imperative is that you have high expectations, a sense of
humour, a love of challenge and a determination to make a difference to the
lives of our fantastic children. You will also need patience, understanding and
commitment, but above all, you will be sincere with a genuine desire to help
young people - the successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting
our pupils’ learning.
·
Do you have a passion for every child achieving what they might have
thought impossible?
·
Are you resourceful, calm, adaptable and able to make learning fun?
·
Do you believe that pupils with SEND have an entitlement to engaging and
exciting schooling?
·
Have you got a good sense of humour with an enthusiastic attitude to
learning?
If so, we want to hear from you!
Our Inclusion Centre supports children with a range of needs. Children
are supported through play, small group learning activities and interventions
to make progress against their individual outcomes.
Qualifications and experience are desirable but not essential; we will consider
strong individuals who have worked in an educational environment and are able
and willing to learn quickly ‘on the job’.
The successful candidate will benefit from high-quality, ongoing
professional development and the shared expertise of our committed and talented
staff.
Milton Park Primary School is committed to
safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects
all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS Disclosure at Enhanced
level will be required prior to any offer of employment.
Milton Park Primary School would like all candidates to answer specific questions for the personal statement section. For reference, here are a preview of the questions/headings:
