We are seeking
an enthusiastic volunteer to help in our school. This role involves engaging
with young children, creating a welcoming and supportive environment while
assisting in various activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading Assistance: Reading on a 1 to 1 or small group basis
with students to help improve students confidence in reading, literacy skills
and love for reading
Classroom Assistance: Support teachers with classroom
activities, this could be preparing resources, working with groups of children
or 1:1 support to provide additional help to students who may benefit from
extra attention in specific subjects
Lunchtime Assistance: Support our lunchtime supervisor team
in the dinner hall or support play out of the playground
Library Support: Assist with organising books, reading
to students, and helping children select appropriate reading materials
Special Events: Participate in school events, after
school clubs, outings, gardening, school performances - offering additional
support as needed
Sharing
Your Professional Skills: for example, if you’re a doctor, you might go
in to talk to a class whose topic is healthy living
