Come and join our fantastic team and be part of the successful ‘Broad Horizons Education Trust’.  Bure Park Specialist Academy is a  residential special school for 6-16yrs old which caters for boys with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Senior SEMH Keyworkers are a significant element of the leadership and management of Bure Park. A significant element of this post is leading and managing a team of talented Care staff during the day and in the evening.  The role includes having oversight of a caseload of pupils working closely with parents, carers and agencies to support social and educational outcomes. It is essential the applicant should have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prioritise his/her/their own workload in our busy working environment.  We are looking for individuals who have the ability to take ownership of a busy school day, delegate and lead a team to achieve the best results for pupils with behaviours that challenge.  The applicant must also be reliable, persistent and loyal, with a good sense of humour and strength of character.  A current driving licence is essential.

Pupils arrive with disrupted educational experiences and complex difficulties and our team will be responsible for ensuring that they leave with superb outcomes academically, socially and behaviourally.  The Academy runs a very strong staff support and development programme. The academy is looking for people who have a variety of interests outside the curriculum that would lend themselves to leading activities with children.

Our school shares the vision of our sponsor, the Broad Horizons Education Trust, that improving the life chances of all pupils has to be at the heart of all we do.  To achieve this Broad Horizons firmly believes in valuing and championing all members of staff employed throughout the trust.

The successful applicants must be prepared to undergo any further training as requested by the Trust and will be subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
