About this Role


We are seeking for a SEND and Complex Needs Teacher to be part of the Hatchside Juniors School

Hatchside School’s ethos is based on the principles of Early Years practice, the aspiration is for Hatchside School to become a role model to schools and settings for children with SEND and become known as a beacon of good practice.

Hatchside Juniors is looking to appoint an adaptable, motivated and enthusiastic Teachers to teach Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils.

We welcome applications from those with some/little experience in this area of work but wish to develop a career in a special school environment.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher who:

  • Holds QTS
  • is self-motivated, resilient and flexible
  • has a secure knowledge and understanding of curriculums – including KS1/2 National Curriculum and/or EYFS framework requirements and the implications for pupils with disabilities and learning difficulties
  • is an outstanding practitioner who can deliver high quality of education for all pupils at school

Hatchside Academy is part of Astrum Multi Academy Trust

Astrum Multi Academy Trust is a vibrant, forward-thinking Trust dedicated to providing exceptional education for pupils with Severe and Complex SEND across Redbridge and the surrounding areas.  Astrum was formed 2017 following the academisation of Newbridge School, an all through special school for pupils with a range of Severe and Complex Special Educational Needs across the London Borough of Redbridge and beyond. The second school in our Trust, Hatchside School, opened in April 2021 and currently caters for Key Stage 1 pupils with a range SEND,.  We further expanded by opening Key Stage 2 in September 2024.
