About this Role

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a Lead Teacher of Nurture to join our successful SEND school in Eltham.  This role is central to sustaining and developing our nurturing provision, ensuring that pupils with the most complex needs are supported to thrive.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of global developmental delay, SLCN and ASD, alongside experience of delivering a sensory-based curriculum. They will be a skilled practitioner and confident leader, able to support and develop others while maintaining high-quality classroom practice.
This role is split between teaching and leadership, with approximately half of the week spent in class and the remainder leading the nurture pathway.
A strong communicator, the successful candidate will have an understanding of total communication approaches, including PECS, Makaton and the use of visuals, alongside knowledge of the graduated approach. They will play a key role in ensuring consistency, supporting staff and promoting approaches that enable every pupil to feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
