Salary Range: MPS1 -UPS3 , £32,916 to £51,048

Hours/Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Role

You will contribute to raising standards of student attainment in Art, Design and Technology, a flagship curriculum area, and one which is increasingly well-connected within the City's burgeoning professional creative sector. You will share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth and facilitate a learning experience that allows individuals to fulfil their potential.  The Creative Industries Faculty at Millbay Academy has secure curriculum foundations, and this is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to play a pivotal role in taking the department forward.

This role involves understanding the needs of the students and adopting/developing an appropriate curriculum/intervention in your area. You will need to be able to establish a safe, purposeful, and stimulating environment for students, rooted in mutual respect and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly.
