About Millbay Academy

Millbay Academy is an all-through school in Plymouth’s Coastal Quarter. This is a place where everyone is important and where every moment counts. Our values will underpin all that we do: we will provide a stimulating learning environment where children will feel safe, happy and consequently thrive.

Our vision is clear: challenging academic and personal goals will be set for every member of the Millbay Academy community, and we will provide the support and encouragement required to reach them. We will do whatever it takes.

At Millbay Academy we are passionate advocates of all-through education. Through this, we will be able to serve our community and families, ensuring an excellent educational experience with continuity and progression. All-through education offers many unique opportunities, including shared experiences, powerful role models and the in-depth knowledge of subject specialists. The Academy has a PAN of 1020.

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education. We operate 16 academies in Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles. At the heart of those values and principles is a belief in our young people and a determination to support them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become the successful citizens for today and all of their tomorrows.
Our core business is delivering exceptional education for children and young people with a mission to help all pupils aspire to achieve beyond the expectations that others put on them. We do achieve this through our people, assisted by our philosophy to provide an environment which helps create, nurture, and grow talent. We believe in a culture of collaboration, and this is accomplished by investing in support, coaching, and mentoring. In order to deliver exceptional opportunities for learning, we need highly motivated staff across all parts of the organisation.
