FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade E Pt 15 - 20; £30,024 - £32,597
Actual Salary Range: £23,469 - £25,480 Pro Rata
Contract Type: Maternity Cover until August 2027, term time only (39 weeks per year)
Contract Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday
About the Role
This is a fixed term post until August 2027 to cover Maternity leave.
Millbay Academy is seeking a
Classroom Technician within the Creative Industries to play a key role in
supporting our vibrant and growing department. This is an exciting opportunity
to contribute to the delivery of Art, Photography, Design & Technology, Drama,
Food Technology and Music, ensuring students have access to high-quality
resources and hands-on learning experiences. You will be responsible for
preparing materials, maintaining specialist equipment, ordering supplies and
assisting teachers and students in creative and technical tasks.
This role is particularly exciting at a time when the Creative Industries are thriving nationally and in Plymouth, and we are looking for a technician who is eager to support and enhance this momentum within our school.
About the Successful Candidate
We are looking for a proactive and organised
individual with experience in at least one creative or technical discipline,
such as Art, Design & Technology, Food Technology, Photography, or Music.
You will have a strong practical understanding of specialist equipment, health
and safety procedures, and the ability to assist both students and staff in
creative learning environments. A passion for the Creative Industries and a
desire to support their growth within education is essential. If you are hands-on,
