As an HLTA you will be required to plan the lessons you are delivering and will therefore, be given time to plan these sessions. Training and guidance will be given to ensure you have an understanding of the National Curriculum requirements and the how to plan and deliver successful lessons.
This role would require you
to cover lessons for sickness or absence and allow leaders to have their
additional leadership time.
You may be required to teach
across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and will need a good level of English and
Maths to ensure children are taught the correct information. You will have a
growing knowledge of Rosenshine's 10 Principals of Instruction that underpin
the way we deliver the curriculum and more training in these principals will be
given to you during the year.
You will also have excellent communication
skills in order to promote a whole school ethos and culture where all staff
support children to develop tools and techniques to remove their barriers to
learning, and become the best possible version of themselves.
This is an exciting role and will allow our school to move forward with delivering a curriculum which equips children with the skills to meet the demands of a rapidly changing world.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare
of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful
candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and all other necessary
pre-employment checks.
