We are currently seeking a professional, organised and friendly Receptionist to join our dedicated administrative team at Ormiston Queensmill Academy.

As the first point of contact for our pupils, families, visitors, and staff, you will play a vital role in providing a warm, welcoming, and professional front-of-house service. You will ensure the smooth running of our busy reception area, support communication across the school, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day administration of the academy.

This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a calm, compassionate approach—qualities that help make Ormiston Queensmill Academy a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, efficient, and able to manage a busy and varied workload. You will be a confident communicator, both in person and over the phone, and committed to providing excellent customer service to our school community.

Ormiston Queensmill Academy is a well-established autism specific school. Although our primary mission is to educate a large and mixed cohort of autistic children and young people in order to offer them the best outcome possible, Ormiston Queensmill is more than a school.At Queensmill, although we acknowledge the complex needs which are associated with autism, we celebrate our pupils’ differences and uniqueness and we put our children and young people at the centre of our practice. We believe that when autistic children and young people are supported to develop skills in social communication and in sensory/ emotional regulation, they will flourish in other aspects of their life and education.
