We are looking for a dedicated Admin Assistant/Receptionist to provide a friendly and efficient reception service and administration (including finance) support to the school. 

  • The successful candidate will work 19 hours per week across 3 days (ideally 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday and Tuesday and 8:30am - 4:30pm Friday, but there is the possibility to discuss this further at interview).  
  • This is a 38-week-per-year role (term time only). 

A Day in the Life:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for both telephone and face to face enquiries
  • Ensuring school security arrangements are always complied with, including the issue of visitor’s badges and signing in procedures and updating the school’s electronic signing-in system to ensure smooth running
  • Taking responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the manual and computerised pupil data records, including attendance details
  • Sending and receiving messages via the school’s Management Information System (MIS) to maintain effective communication with parents/carers
  • Carrying out financial administration in accordance with appropriate financial regulations and policies.

What We're Looking For:
You are the perfect fit for our team if you have:

  • Experience of administrative work in a busy office environment
  • Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of general school policies and procedures
  • Good organisational skills
  • An understanding of and the ability to implement the school’s behaviour management policy  
  • An understanding of and the ability to implement child protection procedures.
