About this Role

As the Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of our school—providing a professional, friendly, and efficient first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff. You’ll manage front-line communications via phone, email, and in person, ensuring all enquiries are handled with care and professionalism.

Your responsibilities will include greeting visitors, managing calls and messages, organising incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining accurate records on the school’s systems. You’ll also support general office administration, helping to keep operations running smoothly day to day.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. Confidence, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to outstanding customer care are key to success in this role.

This position is ideal for a proactive and approachable individual who enjoys variety and takes pride in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for all.

Cornwall Education Learning Trust is an equal opportunities employer and is also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of safer recruitment checks and references including an enhanced DBS check.
