Location: St Clare's School
Contract: 37 hours per week Term Time plus 4 weeks (43 weeks per year) (Part time and/or term time only could be considered for the right candidate)
Grade/Scale: Support Grade H, Points 26-29 (£37,280-£39,862 Per Annum, Pro Rata)
Actual Salary: £35,510 - £37,969 Per Annum
St Clare’s School, part of Esteem Multi‑Academy Trust, is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and committed Designated Safeguarding & Attendance Lead (DSL) to join our senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our school’s commitment to keeping every child safe, supported and able to thrive.
As our DSL, you will hold strategic and operational responsibility for safeguarding, child protection, pupil welfare and attendance across the entire Academy. You’ll lead and inspire staff, work closely with multi‑agency partners, and ensure that safeguarding remains at the forefront of school culture, decision‑making and practice.

St Clare’s School is a specialist setting within the Esteem Multi Academy Trust, proudly supporting over 160 young people aged 11 to 16. We serve children with a wide range of learning difficulties and complex needs, including autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, communication and/or sensory processing difficulties.
