St Mary's have an opportunity to join our supportive team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, playing a vital role in supporting our students on their journey to success. 

You will be responsible for:

• Provide tailored support for individual students, creating a positive and inclusive classroom.
• Working with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion

• A proactive, adaptable approach to supporting both staff and students.
• A willingness to embrace and promote our Catholic ethos (you don’t need to be Catholic but must respect our values).

You will be responsible for:

• Working with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils

• Giving support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
• Be able to build effective working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Adapt your approach to meet the needs of all pupils.
