About this Role

Working pattern Monday - Friday 7.45 to 2.15 (6 hours per day ) 39 Weeks.

The school meals provided should be delivered to the highest standards, ensuring excellence, as the school believes the eating experience is part of our whole school experience. 

• Planning, preparing and presenting all food in line with Statutory Regulations and School Food Standards;

• Ensuring that methods of preparation and presentation comply with currently recognised catering standards and food safety legislation; 

• Managing a small team, including ensuring effective Performance Management

  • Responsibility for ordering food supplies and stock control, labelling and rotation;
  • Ensuring prompt service of all meals;
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to multitask and organise workload
  • Great communication skills. Communicating effectively with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, including communication and prioritisation
  • Experience working in professional kitchens
