About this Role

Shakespeare Primary School have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, dedicated and creative Teaching Assistant in Upper Key Stage 2, to join our outstanding team and make a difference in children’s lives. The successful Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, a good team player and committed to supporting the learning of pupils.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be committed to supporting pupil’s learning and to help pupils surpass their expectations. Shakespeare are seeking candidates that will go the extra mile for our children and the community.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who: 

·        Have experience of working within a primary school or early years setting

·        Can build relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes

·        Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies

·        GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above

·        Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working

·        NVQ2/3 or equivalent or working towards the qualification is desirable

Shakespeare Primary School is a rapidly developing two form entry primary school, with our own nursery, that serves the west of Plymouth. With a new yet experienced, innovative and research driven leadership team at the helm, our school staff are raising standards at speed for our school community.
