We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Teacher of English; you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team to inspire and motivate young people to discover and pursue their own passion for English. If you have skills required to excel in this role, we would love to have you join our team. The successful candidate will have an understanding of curriculum development and delivery in English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enables students to thrive and achieve their full potential, both academically and creatively.
As a member of our Misbourne English team - which consistently achieves good progress and results at KS4 and 5 - you will benefit from:
a fully planned and resourced centralised curriculum across all subjects, meaning we do not expect teachers to go home and do individual planning
regular calendared development time to collaboratively plan and talk about teaching, develop professionally and reduce workload
an academy with high regard and value placed on its staffing body
a strong department with a curriculum which develops engaged and well-behaved students to be creative, articulate, imaginative learners who are confident and secure in their opinions and thoughts.

The Misbourne is an 11-18 Academy in the picturesque village of Great Missenden in the heart of the Chilterns. We have nearly 1100 students on roll including a successful and growing Sixth Form.
