About this Role

The Springfield Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a part-time Cleaner to join the Academy Team in September 2024.

Post: Cleaner

Location: The Springfield Academy, Calne, Wiltshire

Salary RangeGrade B Pt 2, £22,366 per annum pro rata

Hours/Contract: Permanent, part-time (15 hours per week), term-time (42 weeks per annum)

The Role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Cleaner to carry out cleaning tasks set out in the school's cleaning schedule.

The Person

The successful candidate will need to be reliable, flexible and happy to work as part of a small, dedicated team.

Academy Background

The Springfield Academy is a Reach South Academy for young people aged 5-19 with autism. We currently have 210 pupils attending our site in Calne, set to increase to 250 in September 2024. Our goal is to build safe independent lives for autistic young people through support, understanding and enablement.

Springfields is a fantastic, vibrant and caring community that engages pupils and develops positive attitudes to learning. Our autism approach is accessed by all our pupils and is personalised to meet specific needs. All our pupils have an education, health and care plan.

Trust Background

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education. We operate 17 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset and Wiltshire.

We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles. At the heart of those values and principles is a belief in our young people and a determination to support them to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become the successful citizens for today and all of their tomorrows. Our vision is to enable individual academies to flourish with curriculum autonomy, within a consistent framework of a metacognition focused pedagogy. We are committed to collaboration with other schools, MATs, colleges, Local Authorities, employers and Government to bring the widest benefit to young people and our staff.
