We are looking for a Learning Assistant to join our team here at Purple Oaks Academy! Fixed Term for one academic year.
About the role:
The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the students, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.
To be successful you must:
Experience of working with students with autism is an advantage. You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for students in all aspects of their lives.
About us:
Our purpose built building opened in January 2018 and provides 100 places for students (3-16) and 20 places (16-18) with a diagnosis of autism and/or Severe Learning Difficulties. The academy is very popular and currently has 125 students on roll from Reception to Year 13. Our students have a complex range of needs and cover a full breadth of academic ability. We teach our students in small classes of 8-10 students with high levels of adult support.
