The academy is an extremely popular, oversubscribed, specialist provision catering for 3–18-year-olds and it is a genuine pleasure and privilege to be Principal of this amazing, all-through, special school.
Our students are polite, charming, respectful, caring, playful, kind and perceptive. Most of them are also autistic and may have moderate to severe learning difficulties.
The academy staff are a committed and dedicated team of experienced professionals who support and challenge our children and young people to achieve their personalised goals. We work very closely with families and a wide range of services to ensure our students remain central to everything we do.
We achieve positive outcomes by the addressing the students’ needs as outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plans and pride ourselves on offering an exciting curriculum that enthuses and engages our students. We also believe in the importance of celebrating the steps to success our students make on their journey to independence and adulthood – no matter how small.
To experience the friendly and welcoming ethos of the academy firsthand, we’d be happy to show you around, but please take the time to browse our website where you will find useful information. If you don’t find what you are looking for, we’d be delighted to answer any questions you may have.
