About this Role

We are looking for a Midday Supervisor to join our team here at Purple Oaks Academy!

About the role:

You will be responsible for:

You will support the lunchtime food service and ensure the safety and security of the children, whilst promoting learning through role model.
Promoting pupils’ independence, inclusion and cooperation

What are we looking for?

If you enjoy working with children and you are a great communicator then we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will be able to use their initiative to respond appropriately to the needs of pupils and support pupils to eat their meals and have a safe and enjoyable lunch break.

To be successful you must:

possess excellent communication skills
have experience of working and interacting with young people or children
be flexible, creative and enthusiastic about their position
be a team player
Have a positive caring attitude

Experience of working with students with autism is an advantage. You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for students in all aspects of their lives.

About us:

Our purpose built building opened in January 2018 and provides 100 places for students (3-18) with a diagnosis of autism and/or Severe Learning Difficulties. The academy is very popular and currently has 117 students on roll from Reception to Year 13. Our students have a complex range of needs and cover a full breadth of academic ability. We teach our students in small classes of 8-10 students with high levels of adult support.
