About this Role

Stanstead Flying High Academy is seeking to appoint a passionate Inclusion Leader to join our dynamic leadership team. This pivotal role includes the responsibilities of Attendance, Behaviour, and SEN, ensuring the highest quality of inclusive teaching and learning.

As part of the Flying High Partnership, we are committed to providing an outstanding education that enables every child to achieve their very best. Our school is a dynamic and nurturing community where both children and staff flourish, creativity is celebrated, and every decision is made with the child at its centre.

We are looking for a highly effective leader who can raise standards, drive excellence across these areas, and inspire children through a rich, inclusive, and engaging curriculum. If you bring the vision, expertise, and passion to make a lasting impact on every child’s education, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We Can Offer You:

  • A commitment to people across our partnership, underpinned by our people principles: adaptability, wellness, recognising achievement, employee voice and engagement, professional development and growth, inclusivity, and collaboration.
  • A clear leadership development pathway, including access to the full suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), delivered through our very own Teaching School Hub.
  • Access to extensive, high-quality CPL at every stage of your career, including opportunities to grow as a leader and prepare you for future headship.
  • A leadership role with strategic responsibility, including Standards: Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, and Assessment.
  • The opportunity to progress across the partnership, realising your career ambitions.
  • A balance of class responsibility and leadership time, tailored to school needs.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme, offering specialist support including counselling, financial support, and legal advice.
  • A fantastic workplace where magic happens every day for both children and staff.

What we are looking for:

  •  A strong teacher with a secure understanding of meeting the needs of children with SEN.
  • A passionate and committed Inclusion Lead with a strong track record of supporting diverse and inclusive school environments.
  • Experienced SENDCO, with in-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and effective strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) experience or training, with a clear understanding of safeguarding legislation, procedures, and best practice.
  • A collaborative leader who works effectively with teachers, support staff, external agencies, families, and pupils to drive inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Skilled in leading on attendance and behaviour, with the ability to analyse patterns, implement effective strategies, and ensure a positive, supportive school culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the school office.

We are really looking forward to meeting you and potentially welcoming you to our school family.
