This is a unique dual-role position combining direct pupil support with family engagement, helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve success both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will work directly with children across the school, delivering targeted interventions, supporting pupils within the classroom, and building positive relationships with families to promote attendance, wellbeing and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted interventions for pupils with SEND and additional needs.
- Support children in class to access learning and achieve their individual targets.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo and pastoral staff to implement support strategies.
- Build positive relationships with families and provide appropriate support and guidance.
- Help improve attendance, engagement and pupil wellbeing.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to review meetings.
- Promote inclusion and ensure pupils feel safe, valued and supported.
