Head of Physical Education – (MPS/UPS + TLR2B)

We are seeking
an experienced Head of Department or teacher of PE who is keen to progress in
the next stage of their career and who is passionate about leading excellent teaching
and learning. You will be committed to challenging our pupils to do their best
and be aspirational for themselves and lead your team to ensure provision is of
the highest standard. You will be unrelenting in your desire to inspire pupils
and support them to become confident learners, develop resilience and enable
them to understand how to be a team player. If
successful, you will lead a department who are committed to continuous
professional development and to securing high levels of progress for our pupils.
You will be leading the teaching of physical education across both Primary and
Secondary Phases, developing the curriculum sequencing to ensure seamless
progression. You will raise the profile of extra-curricular sports and clubs
both in school and by building connections with other schools in the area to
raise the profile of the school as a centre for sporting excellence. Currently,
the PE department deliver OCR Cambridge National in Sport Science at KS4 and
BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care.
