As Catering Manager, you will
oversee the day-to-day operation of the college catering service, managing a
dedicated team and ensuring the delivery of fresh, high-quality meals and
hospitality services. You will play a key role in menu development, budget
management, stock control and continuous service improvement, helping to create
a positive dining experience for our college community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the catering team, including
recruitment, training and performance management.
- Planning, preparing and delivering nutritious,
high-quality meals using fresh ingredients.
- Developing varied and innovative menus that appeal
to students and staff.
- Managing food ordering, stock control and supplier
relationships to ensure value for money.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, health and
safety, and allergen regulations.
- Organising staff rotas and production schedules to
ensure an efficient service.
- Supporting hospitality and corporate events,
including occasional evening and weekend functions.
- Delivering excellent customer service and
responding positively to feedback.
- Contributing to the college's commitment to
providing an outstanding experience for all students.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and
organised individual who:
- Has hospitality and catering qualifications,
including a Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (or
equivalent).
- Has significant experience in a chef management or
catering management role.
- Has experience planning menus, managing budgets and
controlling food costs.
- Can lead, motivate and develop a catering team to
achieve high standards.
- Has excellent knowledge of food hygiene, nutrition,
special dietary requirements and allergen management.
- Demonstrates strong organisational, communication
and customer service skills.
