About this Role

Larkmead School is seeking applications for the role as a technician to support the workshops within our Technology Faculty.  The successful candidate will have prior experience of working in a workshop environment, although this need not necessarily have been in a school.  Flexibility, patience, and a polite manner are a must for the post-holder.

The role will involve assisting and supporting the teaching and learning of Resistant Materials to ensure learners’ make progress.  More specifically: cleaning and maintenance of workshop equipment; administrative support with regard to health & safety; sourcing and preparing equipment and tools; assisting and guiding students during lessons.

The role is for 25 hours per week during term time only with precise working hours agreed between the school and the successful applicant.  Dependent upon experience the salary will be Grade 6 Point 18 – 21 £24,702-£26,873

Actual salary to reflect hours and the term time nature of the post £11,195.50-£12,179.45
