About this Role

Phase Lead EYFS

Fairfields Primary School

Salary: MPS 1-6 plus TLR 2b

Fairfields Primary School is proud to be part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL) family of schools who inspire all of our futures through learning together.  At IFtL we are never alone.  We know we are stronger together – one united family striving for excellence for all, in everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Phase Lead to join the team at our thriving, successful and happy school. Our mission is to provide every child with an educational experience that ensures children have solid foundations from which they can flourish.  Barriers to learning are overcome and learning opportunities are unlimited. Every child must be both challenged and inspired to achieve beyond their dreams.

We are looking for a Phase Lead to make the education and wellbeing of all pupils within their phase their first priority and are accountable for securing the highest possible standards of teaching, learning, and conduct. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, they provide strong leadership across the phase, supporting and developing colleagues to ensure consistency, high expectations, and continuous improvement.

The Phase Lead will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will have an additional area of responsibility dependent on knowledge, skills and experience.

We expect the successful candidate to act with honesty and integrity; demonstrate strong pedagogical and subject knowledge; actively develop their own practice and that of others; and foster positive professional relationships with staff, pupils, parents, and the wider community.

They will:

  • Maximise the achievement and progress of all children within their phase.
  • Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the phase.
  • Take responsibility for the safety, welfare, and inclusion of all pupils.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and ongoing improvement of the school.
  • Promote and uphold the aims, values, and vision of the school, ensuring these are consistently reflected in practice.

Please see job description for more details.

As part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning Multi Academy Trust, successful candidates will have full access to our staff benefits package, including a bespoke CPD package, enhanced Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Leave and Employee Assistance Programme. In addition, access to an Employee Benefits Scheme including discount on gym memberships, cinema tickets, retail discounts, cycle to work scheme and much more.

Visits to the school can be arranged both face to face and remotely.  Please contact the school reception to arrange a visit.  We look forward to hearing for you.

Inspiring Futures through Learning is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. All vacancies are subject to enhanced DBS disclosures. We are an equal opportunities employer.

We invest heavily in professional development to enable our staff to flourish and to continually learn and develop. As part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning Multi Academy Trust, successful candidates will have full access to our staff benefits package including our Employee Assistance Programme, discount on gym membership, cinema tickets, cycle to work scheme and much more.

Inspiring Futures through Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All employees are expected to share this commitment, to follow IFtL’s safeguarding policies and procedures, and to behave appropriately towards children at all times, both in work and in their personal lives.

Our commitment to ensuring equal opportunity and lifelong development is showcased in our 1:1 iPad initiative for learners and teaching colleagues across the schools in our trust. By harnessing the power of technology and collaboration, we aim to reshape and rethink what it means to be a learner into this digital age, and you can play a role in shaping our curriculum offer by joining us on this journey.

Our children and young people come from a wide range of backgrounds, and so do our colleagues. We aim to reflect and celebrate diversity in our workplace in order to create an inclusive culture that adds real value to our vision of inspiring the futures of us all through learning together.

All school based posts are defined as Regulated Activity and therefore this post is subject to an Enhanced with Barred List Criminal Records Bureau check.
