We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate
Teacher of English to join our well‑established and successful English
department on a fixed‑term basis for one academic year from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced
teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT eager to begin their career in a
supportive and dedicated department. Our ECTs follow the DfE Early Career
Framework and benefit from both a subject mentor and an Induction Tutor.
We are looking for a teacher
who can inspire a love of reading, writing and literature, and who has a
genuine enthusiasm for working with young people. You will take great
satisfaction in helping students develop their skills, confidence and academic success.
The ability to teach GCSE Film studies would be advantageous but is not
essential.
As part of this role, you
will also undertake the role of form tutor, supporting student welfare and
academic progress.
