As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you
will support teaching staff and work closely with the wider Inclusion, SEND,
and Pastoral teams to enhance the development and education of students,
including those with EHCPs and additional needs.
You will work within a structured and supportive environment, helping to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing. You will support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and contribute to improving attendance and raising standards.
Your duties will include supporting student induction, assessment, intervention, and ongoing learning, as well as assisting with the planning and delivery of learning activities for individuals and small groups. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers will also form part of your role.
Additionally, you may support targeted activities or clubs during break, lunchtime, or after school as part of the Achievement Support programme.
This role involves working closely with an experienced Inclusion Team, including the SENDCo and SEN Leadership Team, within a collaborative and supportive environment.
For this position, you will need experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting, and some experience supporting students with additional needs. This role would suit someone looking to further develop their skills and progress within a Teaching Assistant career pathway.
