About this Role

Come and join the lively and dedicated team at our popular school.  We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic LSA with experience of working with children in a school setting – ideally as an LSA on a fixed term contract until August 2026.

The role will focus on providing support to children with SEND, therefore applicants are expected to have experience of working with children with specific learning needs and social / emotional learning behaviours.  We offer an extremely supportive community and a full range of professional development opportunities. Our children deserve the best, so if you are passionate about supporting our staff and children with our high expectations then we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • be passionate about learning
  • possess school-based experience of working with children
  • be passionate and keen to work with individuals or small groups of children with SEND under the direction of teaching staff
  • promote the inclusion of children with SEND both within the classroom and during non-class-based learning, ensuring access to learning through appropriate clarification, explanation and visuals
  • excite and inspire our children by implementing planned learning activities / teaching programmes as agreed with colleagues, adjusting activities according to pupil's response
  • promote high standards and challenge in literacy and numeracy
  • monitor and record pupil activities
  • work as a flexible member of a team
  • display energy, imagination and initiative
  • manage the physical demands of a busy role working with active children
