English Teacher

At Riverside Meadows Academy in St Neots, we are committed to supporting secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic English teacher to join our team and make a profound impact on the lives of our pupils.

In this role, you will mentor and guide pupils, helping them to engage with the English curriculum, develop essential literacy and communication skills, and empower them with the tools they need to succeed both academically and in the wider community. You will play a key part in raising attainment and helping our pupils develop the confidence to pursue their future goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored English lessons to our pupils, supporting both their academic and personal development
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment to encourage emotional and social growth
  • Enhance pupils’ literacy, communication, and digital skills to prepare them for future success
  • Empower pupils to develop the knowledge and resilience needed to overcome challenges and seek support when required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and improve pupil outcomes

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A dedicated teacher with a passion for English and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of young people with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • A flexible, innovative approach to teaching, with a commitment to inclusion
  • Experience or a willingness to support young people with SEMH
