Salary: MPS (unqualified / those on route to teacher training considered)

Are you an enthusiastic and inspiring PE Teacher with a passion for helping young people thrive through sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles? We are seeking a committed and energetic teacher to join our dedicated team and deliver outstanding Physical Education across the school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about developing pupils’ confidence, teamwork, resilience, and sporting ability while contributing to a vibrant whole-school community.
About the Role
As a PE Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of sports and physical activities

Inspire pupils of all abilities to achieve their personal best

Promote physical wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, and positive participation in sport

Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment

Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and wider school events
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school priorities and pupil achievement
-
Uphold high expectations for behaviour, participation, and achievement
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning

Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that challenge and motivate pupils

Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress effectively
-
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, and high ability learners
-
Use a range of teaching strategies to maximise engagement and participation
-
Maintain high standards of classroom and behaviour management
-
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience through physical education
Curriculum and Enrichment

Contribute to the development of a broad and balanced PE curriculum
-
Organise and support extracurricular clubs, fixtures, tournaments, and sporting events
-
Encourage participation in healthy and active lifestyles across the school community

Support whole-school initiatives, assemblies, and enrichment activities
Safeguarding and Pastoral Care

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times

Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies and procedures

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues
-
Act as an excellent role model for pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (Unqualified / those on route to teacher training considered)

Experience teaching PE across a range of age groups and abilities

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for sport and physical activity

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to motivate and inspire pupils to succeed
