As Early Years Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing, developing and overseeing the EYFS provision, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning and assessment. You will work closely with staff to drive high standards, create an inspiring and inclusive environment, and ensure all children make exceptional progress from their starting points.
This role combines strategic leadership with classroom practice, giving you the opportunity to model outstanding teaching while leading a committed and enthusiastic team.
Is an exceptional Early Years practitioner, able to inspire, motivate and nurture young learners
Has a clear vision for outstanding EYFS provision and the ability to lead and develop others
Is passionate about creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that are both exciting and appropriately challenging
Has a strong commitment to inclusion, equity and raising standards for all children
Demonstrates secure and up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS Framework and best practice
Has the ability to lead, manage and support a team, fostering collaboration and professional growth
Is an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with staff, parents and the wider community
Brings energy, creativity and a sense of fun to their role, contributing positively to our school team
As Early Years Leader, you will:
Lead and manage the Nursery and Reception (Foundation) classes, ensuring high-quality provision across the phase
Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning, providing coaching and support to staff to drive continuous improvement
Oversee planning, assessment and moderation within EYFS to ensure consistency and progression
Create a stimulating, language-rich learning environment that supports all areas of development
Champion early childhood development and school readiness, ensuring every child has the best possible start
Work closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school improvement and strategic development
Build strong partnerships with families to support children’s learning and wellbeing
