We have an excellent opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic
Teacher of Technology to join our friendly and forward-thinking team at GPUTC
for Sept 25. This is an ideal position
for either an experienced or early careers teacher who wishes to develop their
practice in a supportive and innovative environment. Applications will be
considered from those who have had previous teaching experience in industry and
educational establishments but are not yet qualified and would be prepared to
undertake qualifications to teach.
Our workshops boast CNC Lathe, Mill, Routers, Engravers, Laser Cutters,
3D Printers (FDM and Resin), Manual Lathes and Milling Machines, Forging,
Casting, Welding (actual and Augmented Reality) all in addition to your more
traditional product design workshop. You will have the opportunity to deliver
projects involving electronics and robotics including Lego EV3, Vex, physical
computing (Arduino and Raspberry Pi).
We are committed to working with business and industry. Our partners
working with us on a range of projects include CAT/Perkins, Baker Perkins,
Howden, Z-Tech, Photocentric, Amazon, Anglian Water, Anglian Ruskin University.
The successful applicant will work within a well-established, expanding
team of specialist teachers with exceptional industrial experience.
You'll have the opportunity to teach across key stages 3,4&5.
Qualifications include OCR Cambridge Technicals (Engineering Design and
Engineering Manufacture), GCSE Product Design, A Level Product Design, BTEC
Engineering.
We are excited to be offering, in 2024/5, the new ‘T-Level Engineering
(Mechanical Engineering)’ qualification which means much more active engagement
with employers and industry.
TLRs may be available for a suitably experienced candidate.
