About Greater Peterborough UTC

We are delighted to welcome you to Greater Peterborough UTC! Located in Peterborough city centre, the £25 million school opened in September 2016. We are proud to be Peterborough’s first STEM-specialist school, creating the city’s future scientists, engineers, designers, architects, and construction specialists of the future.

In October 2022, our school received our Ofsted inspection with the result of ‘Good’. It was said that Pupils behave well. They say they want to learn. As a result, pupils are largely focused in lessons. Teachers have expert knowledge. They use subject-specific language. Pupils confidently use this language when talking about their learning. Teachers check how well pupils are doing and explain what they need to do to improve. Students in the sixth form peer review project work. This helps students to improve the prototypes they have designed and replicates what happens in an industry setting.
