Scarborough UTC

Under new leadership, Scarborough UTC is going from strength to strength. Following our Ofsted inspection in November 2022 and having been awarded ‘good’ across the board, our role is increasing rapidly as more and more local families make us their choice.

“A school of opportunity”; “Leaders and staff describe the school as a family. They feel mutually supported and value the attention leaders give them. Staff morale is extremely high.” “Behaviour is calm and respectful. In lessons, pupils are attentive and want to learn.” Ofsted 2022

There has been a transformational change since the previous pre-covid inspection. We would encourage any applicant to have read the inspection report, which is the rightful and accurate summation of considerable work by the college staff.

It is our mission to enable all learners to enjoy and succeed in mathematics, it is a core element of our STEM offer as part of our UTC charter. We want learners to think about maths beyond what is tested in national examinations and to be equipped with an understanding of mathematics that will be relevant and useful in their future studies and/or in the world of work.

We provide learners with a deep conceptual understanding of mathematical principles, the ability to confidently communicate in precise mathematical language and apply this knowledge to the UTC specialisms of Engineering, Cyber and Health.
