About this Role

Towcester Primary School is a friendly, nurturing church school based in the heart of the market town of Towcester. We provide fantastic provision for children from the local community.  The school prides itself on its inclusive nurturing approach and strives to ensure that all pupils thrive and have a brilliant start to their education! Standards are high at Towcester where children are keen to learn but welfare and nurture is paramount in allowing this to happen. Visitors comment on the school’s ethos of nurture and the ‘family feel’ of the school. We have TWO opportunities for a friendly, enthusiastic and professional HLTA to join our team. If you are already working as a HLTA and want a new challenge, or you are a TA who is ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you!

We have two contracts available as follows:

Contract 1: 30 hours per week (term time + inset days)
Contract 2: 27.5 hours per week (term time + inset days)

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly,
  • Experienced in delivering cover for Class Teachers,
  • Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn,
  • Understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children,
  • Able to deliver and evaluate lessons, giving feedback when needed,
  • Confident in using a range of behaviour management skills,
  • Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently,
  • Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
